Accessibility

What we aim for

The site is built to meet WCAG 2.2 at level AA. In practice that means:

• Everything works with a keyboard, including the Constraint Check: Tab moves between questions, the arrow keys choose an answer, and Enter shows the result.
• Text and colours meet the contrast levels in WCAG 2.2 AA.
• Every exhibit has its numbers in text or a table, not only in a picture.
• Pages reflow to a phone screen 320 pixels wide without sideways scrolling.
• Motion is kept to a short fade, and none at all if your device asks for reduced motion.

Known limits

The Constraint Check needs JavaScript to add up your answers. If JavaScript is off, email us and we'll send the questions as a document.
